Sorry everyone but Moss's Southern has closed under its current ownership. Almost 30 years of wonderful food and fellowship will not be forgotten, their breakfast was legendary and their Southern style dinners were always reliably delicious. Good luck Ms. Shelia and your awesome staff! Hoping someone will purchase the business soon and try to carry on the traditions.

Fantastic comfort food most underrated restaurant in town. The service is fast and friendly with a welcoming atmosphere.

Cute little off the beaten path diner in Clarksville! They have pleasant staff and are very kind. Restaurant itself is fairly clean. Furniture is a little dated and needs updating. However, they keep the place in very good repair. It is a Mom and Pop meat and three. My son and I visited today for lunch. We both chose from the meat and three menu. I have the chicken and dressing with mashed potatoes, light gravy, baked apples, and pinto beans. Very tasty and on point. My only complaint is the mashed potatoes could've been seasoned a little little more lively. My son got the roast beef with green beans, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. He liked his food, but he also thought the mashed potatoes lacked a little seasoning. The cornbread sticks they serve are fantastic and not to be missed. They also have cobbler in the peach and blackberry variety. We didn't eat dessert, but I did take a portion of each home to try later. Cobbler was hot and fresh on appearance. Let me tell you the service is very fast here. They know the value of time. And the food comes out hot and appropriate. Generous enough portions for everybody. Prices are not bad either. I think all in all it was a good visit for the quality we got. If you're looking for gourmet , this is not your place however, if you're looking for a reasonable meal from a southern comfort food cooking arena, you're gonna be right at home here. it's obviously a local favorite. We definitely will be back. Also as a side note, they do take credit card. There is a slight convenience fee for using a credit card. Consider bringing cash.

Moss' is by far, the "Greatest Little Mom and Pop" restaurants that I have had the privilege of dining there and call in to go orders. We don't venture out much these days, so we just call our orders in and within 25 minutes we are able to pick them up. They have a "daily specials menu" which makes things move faster, best Liver snd Onions that I have had in over 40+ years, reminded me of my mom's. When we do get our "Moss' on" we call in for 4 meals, enjoy them for 2-3 nights for dinner. Moss' isn't just a "mom and pop", it is an institution and should be labeled as a landmark, as long as there is liver and onions to be had at Moss', we will continue to get our "Moss' On". Best little place in Clarksville!!!

The food and service are still great! Not sure for the reason but now Moss' does not open until 9:00 am M-F. On Thursday, 13 March, I showed up at 8:25am-so, had to drive over to Cracker Barrel. Today, Saturday, 16 March, I showed up at 9:05am, but not open on weekends, so drove over to Huddle House. Still a great place to eat, just have to eat on "their" hours and on "their" days.

Food is solid diner food.. but prices are kinda crazy for what it is. We spent $40 for 2 people to have lunch. Diner food shouldn't but that much :)

Had lunch there and it was so good! I had the country fried steak, sweet potato and green beans. Hubs had pulled pork on cornbread. Everything was delicious! The service is second to none! Everyone was friendly and attentive. The best southern food and service we've had!

Great food at a great price with exceptional service. It is a little bit like going back in time but everything tasted amazing!

You can take the country girl out of the city, but you can't take the county out of the girl! So if I find a cute, quaint country spot with excellent service and good food, y'all should know that I will be back. Lord, have mercy. We have been trying to make it back here since our last breakfast adventure over a month ago, and today was the day! Mark the open-faced roast beef as a Must-Try and not pictured because my boyfriend devoured it, the patty melt.
